Move More
The purpose of the Move More Campaign is to encourage UCI faculty, staff, retirees and students to Move More throughout their day and to create a healthier UCI while bringing awareness to the benefits of increasing daily physical activity in one's overall health and well-being.The term Sitting Disease has been coined by the scientific community and is commonly used when referring to metabolic syndrome and the ill-effects of an overly sedentary lifestyle. Global studies show, on average, we sit 7.7 hours a day, and some results estimate people sit up to 15 hours a day.

How can you start Moving More? Moving More does not have to mean going to the gym or working out, although those activities do help. You can add more movement to your everyday activities without adding a lot to your to-do list.
Below are posters and flyers with helpful information and motivation that you can download, post and share with other UCI community members to help promote Moving More at UCI.
