UCI Catastrophic Leave Donation Program (log in required) allows the continuation of salary and benefits for an eligible employee who has exhausted all paid leave due to a serious illness or injury or because the employee is caring for a seriously ill family member. The program relies on the donation of vacation leave by the employee's colleagues.

The New UCI Staff Housing Assistance Program will aid UCI Staff who are at risk of housing loss. Offered in conjunction with UCI Human Resources, the UCI Staff Housing Assistance Program is a confidential program intended to provide short-term, emergency-based support. Aid can provide support towards payment of rent, mortgage or a security deposit to secure rental.

The UCI Staff Relief Fund allows all UCI and UCI Health employees an opportunity to help colleagues in need. The UCI Staff Relief Fund provides financial assistance and resource recommendations for staff members who are experiencing an immediate, severe and temporary financial situation due to an emergency or unforeseen or unavoidable event. This fund is 100% donation driven.

The UCI Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, confidential benefit that can help address personal or work-related issues faced by UCI faculty, staff, retirees and dependents at both the UCI Campus and UC Irvine Health - including financial wellness concerns such as debit, . This service, staffed by experienced clinicians, is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Guidance Resources can assist with many financial, legal or consumer concerns in addition to providing referrals to community resources.
